Three great reasons why I will never buy organic milk...
1. My sister told me that she bought some that had an expiration date a month out and poured it on her cereal and it was rotten.
2. My mother told me that it smells like dog poop.
3. My sister just told me that she tried it again, and she drank it with jelly toast and it "sizzled" in her mouth.
*I will continue to drink my hormone/steroid infused Walmart brand skim milk.
Little nuggets of what is going on in my life and my thoughts and perceptions of those daily events.

First Picture
I had my first ultrasound today and got to see our little butter bean baby. It was really awesome. I didn't have any overwhelming emotional teary eyed moment, but I did have a moment. My first thought when I saw the baby was "Wow, there really is a baby in there". I guess I've been in denial or something. Anyway, I went and bought some maternity clothes to celebrate.
Also, JR is convinced that it is a girl and keeps giving the baby a voice, which is a very animated girly voice. One of his favorite things to say when imitating the baby is..."I'm sixteen cells".

Snow Day Joke
I woke up this morning and saw 1/8 of an inch of snow on the ground. It looked like frost actually, so there was no question that I would be at work on time...no delays.
But, everyone started calling me, freaking out...Do we have to be at work today? Well the sun is out and the frost...I mean snow...is already melting, I think we will be at work today. It turned out that we had an hour delay in opening the bank, which was okay...unnecessary, but okay.
Then, I went downtown for lunch. I couldn't wait to get some soup from my favorite restaurant. To my disappointment, they were closed...along with the rest of the town. ARRRGGGHHH!!!! What's up with everyone freaking out over a snowflake?

We Will Rock You
I know one commercial that I hope I don't see during the Superbowl on Sunday. It's the one promoting all of Walmart's cheap prices on every item you need for the perfect Superbowl party. It has this really dorky family with each member of the family singing a line from Queen's hit song We Will Rock You. Every time that I see it, I feel embarrassed. It is just super creepy and embarrassing...I really don't like it.

Yes..."IT" Happens
I really believed that I would go through life without it happening to me. I've had several near misses, which gave me the false belief that I was just a lucky person.
Today, proved all of this to be wrong. A bird pooped on my head. Never have I wanted to kill one of God's little creations more.
I was having such a cute hair day today, too. I had taken extra time styling my hair, and then nature decided to play a little practical joke on me.
...I hope one of my cats has a little snack later.

First Craving
As everyone reading this probably knows by now, JR and I are expecting our first baby in September. For the most part, things are business as usual, but I have started having some issues with eating. This started a couple of days ago and has gotten progressively worse.
For me, this so called "cravings" thing, is actually just a process of elimination. I run through several different foods in my mind and end up eating the one thing that doesn't make me gag at the thought of it.
Last night, I bought a bunch of cereal and pop tarts and macaroni and cheese(Kraft). I can tell this is going to be a sad sad time in the food department. Apparently, I am going to be eating out of a box for nine months. Also, my pop tarts and cereal are presently removed from the list, since the thought of them are making me gag. Also, I am glad that I only bought two boxes of mac and cheese, because now that I just ate it for lunch, I think it is off of the list too.
.....dreaming of the days when food was enjoyable.

Captured

We captured our cheating cat. I saw her running in the back yard towards the neighbor's house. She saw me and I think I saw her duck and try to act like she didn't see me. But, she reluctantly came to the house when I called her. She went over to her food bowl and turned her nose up, rolled her eyes, and walked away.
She is so sweet.
