As in, Shady Grady. That's who was the cherry on top of my loan from the fiery pits of Hades.

Anyway, my loan that I have griped and moaned over for the last two months finally exploded at the closing table today. The reality of the situation finally unveiled itself today with the fact that the loan closing just isn't going to happen.

But, Coy is still super cute, awesome and fun and my husband is pretty cool, too...life is good!

Beach Trip

Coy had his first beach trip this weekend. JR took him to the water while I went shopping. He didn't really like it, especially the water. Grandpa took some candid pictures for the scrapbook.

Nope, Not Today

Today was not the day for a long awaited loan approval. Will it ever happen? I'm not really sure.

But, today was a fun day for JR and Coy to get their pictures made in matching outfits. JR has been trying to get me to match him since we started dating. It all started when he suggested matching airbrush t-shirts at the beach several years ago. Now, he has a little person that thinks it's fun too!

Weekend Fun and Recipes

This was a successful weekend for fun. The weather was super beautiful. Saturday I cleaned my house, which is such a vital component of my happiness. Other fun was had, but it is sort of a secret,so until the big reveal, I have to be hush hush.

The loan from the pits of Hades still hasn't closed, so I am still dealing with that at work. Needless to say I am already anticipating next weekend, which will be spent at the beach as long as everything sticks to the plan.

For a quick and yummy spring/summer recipe try this:

Fruit Salad

Mix together 1 small can of mandarin oranges in light syrup, 1 large can pineapple chunks in own juice, 1/2 of a small package of instant vanilla pudding, fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries, bananas...or any other fruit that you like. Chill and enjoy.

Photo Shoot

Coy was supposed to have his picture made at daycare today. His daycare had a photographer come and they brought live lambs for the pictures. JR heard one of the lambs making lamb noises when he was dropping Coy off this morning and thought that it was someones child. He was a little freaked out until he saw that the daycare had livestock on the premises today. Anyway, Coy didn't get his picture made because he was in the middle of a meltdown. Oh well!

Date Night

JR and I had a date night on Saturday. We went out to eat, shared a bottle of wine and watched a movie. Coy spent the night with Granna and Grandpa. I would love to say that I slept in this morning, but I was up at 7:00a.m. by force of habit.

Grandpa and Coy went to church together and Coy stayed awake during the singing, but fell asleep as soon as the preacher started preaching :) This afternoon I took Coy outside until I started sneezing. We were outside about fifteen minutes.

This evening, me, JR and Coy went for a walk around town. We had a small altercation with one of the neighbor's dogs. JR almost pulled his gun to shoot it, since it was huge, running at us and all of its hair was standing up on his back. His owner was doing a pathetic job of controlling him, too. JR stomped his foot and clapped at him instead. It made the dog run back home and I was thankful that I didn't have to witness a death.

I can't believe that the weekend is already over. I will be heading to Florence in the morning for round two at the dentist.

Is It Friday Yet?

This week has seemed especially long for some reason. I think it is because I haven't been at work very much. If I work all day every day, then the week seems to go by much faster. Monday was a vacation day. Tuesday was a sick day, since I left at lunch with a migraine and ended up at the doctor's office getting antibiotics for my sinus infection. Wednesday, I had to go to Troy, NC(another armpit), for a credit risk training session. I started today with round one of my many dental visits getting a crown on one of my teeth. Which is less than fun under normal circumstances, but really sucked bad with a stuffy nose. So, having all of these extra events outside of my normal work routine was exhausting and made the week drag out. Even though I hate when people say or write what I am about to....I must do it anyway.....T.G.I.F!

On a more fun note: Coy went to the doctor on Monday and he weighed 24lbs and was 29 1/2 inches long....and, he will be 7 months old tomorrow.

Sinus Infection

I went to the doctor this afternoon to get some allergy medicine that may actually work. While I was there it was discovered that I also have a sinus infection...yippee!

At this moment I am watching Paula Dean cook up some tasty treats. I feel myself gaining weight just watching her cook. Also, it is making me think about a delicious treat that I had on Sunday called a Russell Stover's chocolate covered marshmallow. It was so delicious and I am sad that I only had one and not 101 of them.

My allergies are BAAAADDDD!!!!

That's pretty much all I can focus on right now, but I am going to try to push through the misery and manage to do something fun today.
